Intro to the The Jacuzzi® J-345
The Jacuzzi® J-345™ hot tub is a six to seven person hot tub for households that like to share. It has no lounger taking up space, so everyone sits facing each other and the open seating layout encourages conversation. In this guide we look at the seating, massage, water care, running costs and warranty, so you can decide whether it is the right hot tub for your home and garden.
How many people does the J-345 seat?
This model seats six to seven people. Instead of a lounger, every seat is upright and sculpted to support your body. That makes it well suited to families, couples who entertain, and anyone who wants to socialise rather than lie back on their own.
If you are comparing family hot tubs, our best 6 seater hot tubs buying guide sets it alongside other popular models.
What size is the J-345 and will it fit my garden?
The J-345 measures 214 x 214 x 92 cm, so you will need a level, solid base of at least that footprint, plus room to walk around the tub and lift the cover. It holds 1,306 litres of water, has a dry weight of 352 kg and weighs around 1,657 kg when filled, so the base must be able to take that load. It runs on a 32A electrical supply, which a qualified electrician will need to fit.
Our hot tub installation guide explains how to prepare the base and power supply before delivery day.
How powerful is the massage?
There are 41 PowerPro® jets, driven by two 2.0 HP pumps. The jets are positioned to work on specific muscle groups rather than simply moving water around:
- FX jets spiral and pulse to work the muscles of the mid back, with extended coverage for the thighs.
- MX lower back jets focus on the lumbar area, where many of us carry tension.
- PowerPro® Therapy Seats add a Swedish-style massage for the upper back, neck and legs.
- Individual seat air control lets each person adjust the intensity of their own seat.
The HydroSoothe™ massage pillow supports your head and neck, and gently cascades water over the neck and shoulders without splashing. Together, these give you a full-body hydrotherapy experience for relaxation and recovery. You can read more about the wellbeing side in our article on the benefits of hot water immersion.
What is Infrared and Red Light therapy?
A standout feature of the J-345 is a dedicated therapy seat with Infrared and Red Light therapy. Targeted light gently warms the lower back, adding to the warmth of the water and the hydromassage of the jets. It comes as standard, so there is nothing extra to add. If you want to enjoy infrared on its own, we also stock a range of infrared saunas.
How clean will the water stay?
Clean, clear water with less effort is a big part of ownership. The ClearRay® Active Oxygen water management system uses UV-C technology to help treat the water, working alongside 4-stage ProClarity™ filtration and a ProStream™ circulation pump. In practice, that means less time adjusting chemicals and more time enjoying your hot tub.
Is the J-345 energy efficient?
Running costs matter, especially through a British winter. The J-345 has SmartSeal™ multi-layered insulation. Jacuzzi states that its hot tubs are, on average, 22% more efficient than the California Energy Commission (CEC) standards, and that UK customers use around 5 kWh per day on average, based on 1,850 privately owned UK spas fitted with SmartTub® in 2022. Your own use will depend on how often you use the hot tub, the temperature you choose and where it is sited.
The SmartTub® app lets you check and control the hot tub from your phone, so you can adjust the temperature or spot an issue early without stepping outside.

How does the J-345 compare with other J-300 models?
The J-345 is one of two open seating models in the J-300™ collection, and the more compact of the two. Here is how it compares with its closest siblings:
- J-345: seats 6 to 7, open seating with no lounger, 214 x 214 x 92 cm
- J-385: seats up to 7, open seating with no lounger, 232 x 232 x 95 cm
- J-335: seats 5, with lounger, 214 x 214 x 92 cm
- J-355: seats 5, with lounger, 214 x 232 x 95 cm
If you want open seating with more space, the J-385 has a larger 232 cm square shell. If you would rather have a lounger, the J-335 has the same footprint as the J-345. Read our guide to the J-335, or browse the full J-300 collection, where every model is listed side by side.
