Thermowood gives Yakia saunas their rich, natural character. Heat treated for outdoor use, it brings warmth and texture to the garden as well as the cabin.
Electric wall-mounted heaters provide the heat at the heart of the experience. Different models are paired with heaters suited to their cabin size.
Thermo-Aspen benches, backrests and LED lighting create a comfortable space with a gentle glow.
Choose from compact designs for quieter moments and larger cabins with room to bring people together.
An e-brochure is a great place to start. A showroom appointment gives you the chance to ask questions, compare the options and plan how a Yakia sauna could work at home.
During your appointment, you can:

The warmth of a sauna invites you to slow down. Sit back, breathe and give yourself a little time away from the demands of the day. For many people, that simple routine is the greatest benefit of all.
Sauna heat increases blood flow while you’re inside and can help tired muscles feel more relaxed after exercise. An evening session can also be a calming way to wind down before bed.

Some of the most common questions customers ask before purchasing a sauna.
What size sauna should I choose?
Start with the number of people who will use it regularly and the space available in your garden. A compact model may be ideal for quieter sessions, while a larger cabin offers more room to relax together. The Champion team can help you compare the Yakia models.
The size of the sauna or ‘volume’ will also dictate how long the sauna takes to heat up. The bigger the sauna, the longer the heat up time – this is compensated by using a larger Kw heater which will influence the electrical supply required.
What electrical supply does a Yakia sauna need?
Yakia’s electric sauna heaters require a dedicated electrical supply and cannot run from a standard plug socket. A qualified electrician should check your property’s capacity and specify and install the appropriate circuit for your chosen model.
Regardless of the model, each sauna requires a dedicated supply from the consumer unit to an isolation switch with the appropriate protection. This will need to be completed by a qualified electrician. Each model has a varying Kw of heater which will require different amperages – speak to one of our team about the model you are interested in and we can apply the specifics.
Does the exterior timber need treating?
Yes. Yakia requires the exterior Thermowood to be treated with a suitable wood preservative immediately after installation. This helps maintain its appearance and is required to keep the warranty valid.
What should I consider before installation?
Think about the sauna’s position, the space around it, access for delivery and the route for its electrical supply. The Champion team can discuss these points with you as you choose a model.
Sauna needs to be on flat, firm hard standing – area should be able to cope with units ranging from 500kg to 1.1tonne plus the weight of the intended users.
Can I see a Yakia sauna at a Champion showroom?
Book an appointment and tell us which Yakia model you’re interested in. The team can confirm what is currently available to view at your preferred showroom and help you explore the wider range.
How do I choose between the Yakia models?
The e-brochure is a useful starting point for comparing designs, dimensions and features. A showroom appointment gives you the chance to talk through your priorities and narrow down the options.
